About Bruce McMichael

Bruce McMichael (*18.7.1961) is a UK-based writer and educator focused on the food and drink sector. He recently completed a Masters in Food Culture, Communication and Marketing at the University of Gastronomic Sciences where he is now a visiting instructor. His grandmother was born Marceline Mautner Markhof (daughter of Georg II Anton Mautner v. Markhof and married to Professor Hans Bertele v. Grenadenberg ). He fondly remembers spending many childhood holidays in Vienna during the 1970s visiting Gaaden (residence of his grandgrandmother Emy Mautner Markhof) and the Schwechat brewery.
